4cool costumeSep 28, 2008
By Binx
i've always wanted to dress up as leia and clubs are always packed during halloween, so the less clothes the less heat you feel.
i ordered the XS. i'm 5'2 and have a tiny frame, a 32 bust and 30' around the hips which is where i wear the skirt.the skirt comes right to the floor, the waist fits fine, the shorts are a bit long but with a bit of rouching they fit fine. the skirt covers more in the front part than what is shown in the picture, if you want it to look as the pic, you can always pin it.
the top ties behind the neck and has velcro around the back part. the "metal" details of the costume are made of rubber and the smell is quite strong. the details on the bra top are a bit different than the picture, and there's a part that sort of sticks out, i'm gonna have to cut it and glue it so it looks more like a snake. also the circles on the waist are a bit loose and they might also need a trim so they don't stick out.
the bracelet and chocker are also made of rubber, they tie with velcro, the chain is not included.
the hair pieces are 2 pieces of rubber that are stitched to hair pins, and they fit fine although they might stick a bit from the head you can always pin them down.
the colors are a bit off in the picture. the skirt is actually a much deeper shade of red, sort of burgundy. the bra top is dark gray and the "metals" are more on the copper side than gold.
the costume is wonderful, very little work needs to be done in order to make it perfect. overall i'm really happy with it :)

1Seriously?Oct 29, 2009

How did Star Wars sign off on this?

I am a tiny girl, so I ordered a small. I was amazingly excited to open the package. Here's what I saw:

The top is made of foam and rubber. The rubber "gold" bits don't stick on to the foam, so if you are going to wear this you have to sew/glue it back together. The foam pads are way bigger than in the picture. The "gold" design is different than the picture.

The skirt is pretty, but the "gold" thing on the skirt is horrid. Not only does it not stick to the skirt, it is wrinkled. Maybe it's heat, but either they shouldn't package it this way, or make it from better materials. The skirt covers more than the picture depicts, but that is an easy fix and not so bad.

The "jewelry" ... The description says rubber, or something like that. They don't tell you it's flimsy rubber that sags and droops. There's no way the girl in the picture is wearing the armband in this costume.

Minor issues: the chain on the choker is different. Skirt is different color (says it might be in description, but they really should show the other color if that is what they are selling). Skirt covers more than picture.

Major issues: top looks horrible. Foam and rubber that could not possibly fit the way it does in the picture. Gold on skirt is terrible.

So by my calculations, its the top, the skirt, the arm band and the choker that are different from the picture. Isn't that what they are selling? False advertising, at it's worst.

1Very DisappointedNov 19, 2008

I was very excited to receive this costume in the mail. When I opened it, my heart sunk. The majority of the costume was made from cheap rubber and looked nothing like sample photo. I was extremely disappointed and never plan to purchase another product from this company. Buyer beware.

1Do Not BuyNov 07, 2009

They offer no returns and only exchanges. When I tried to exchange it I was told they were out. I kept looking for costumes to exchange it for but they would always be out of stock. No one picks up the phone. The email responses from the company are never longer than a sentence. The worst thing is the costume was horrble, everything was falling apart. Just go to a halloween store It's the same cr*p.

When one pays over $20 for a costume it is generally expected that it will be better made and of better quality than a McDonalds happy meal toy. The fabric (if you could call it that) was synthetic, crude and static-prone, the gold rubber part of the bra was scarcely connected and the "metallic" parts of the costume are crumpled and wrinkly with a strong smell reminiscent of petrol. It looks nothing like it does in the picture. I highly advise that if you are still considering this product to try it on in a store first. Purchasing it online is equivalent to flushing a paycheck down the toilet. On the bright side, the fabric in the skirt is a nice color.
