My favorite bootsApr 05, 2008
By Jackie Alphonse
When you first take them out of the box and strap them on, you're going to feel like you broke both legs and have been condemned to leg braces. A bit of warning: they're heavy. I think the shipping label said they weighed 8 pounds together. Haha. It's a great thing. Also, you're going to notice that they squeak a lot. Now how could I possibly still like these boots you ask?
Once you start wearing them, all of the problems start to disappear. Because they are almost completely leather they take a bit of time to wear in. The squeaking is pretty much gone now, and they've gotten more comfortable on the legs because I've been wearing them a lot. They're very adjustable because of all of the straps, so really it's all just a matter of adjusting them properly (they will always be stiff though, given the metal plates, steel toes, and what, 7 buckles?). Another thing, someone else commented that they are purely for show---well, actually---I have worn them hiking and even in the snow and haven't had a problem; they aren't even scratched yet. They seem pretty durable given that they're usually listed as fetish boots.
The only real complaint that I have is that the backs are a bit too tall for me, which makes it annoying while running (they probably didn't intend them for running...). But I think that might have to do with the fact that 1. I'm a woman, not a man (some sites list these boots as unisex, but they are actually made to fit men, not women). 2. I wear size 10 in men's even though I'm not that tall. Given proportions and everything, it's to be expected.
Over all, nice boots. They have their quirks, but are too cool to be branded with a mediocre 4 stars, so they get a 5.

Highly recommended!Dec 25, 2011
These boots are probably the most amazing things I've ever owned. Not only do they look cool as hell, but they're sturdy, tough, weatherproof, and durable. I'd highly recommend these shoes if you're looking for a tough pair of boots or something to go with a particular outfit or cosplay!
PROS: The pros of these shoes go far, but aren't without limitations. First off, they're made of solid leather, so they'll last for many years to come. They're waterproof (not including the zipper, of course) and have lasted me in all sorts of weather. They've got a steel toe which doesn't impede your foot room any, and each metal-plated strap is its own separate piece, quality-made and super adjustable for all shapes of legs! I personally bought these because I needed a good pair of long-lasting boots that wouldn't be ruined in the harsh snow where I live, and these boots have so far delivered. They're comfortable, strong, and look super cool!
CONS: Some bad comes with the good, although they're minor problems which can be easily avoided or fixed. The metal plates on the straps aren't securely fixed, and they might come off (one of mine is about to). However, this can be avoided by not being rough on the plates, or with a little strong glue (hot or gorilla glue), you can fix the plate yourself if you haven't lost the pieces! Also, when you first get these boots, the leather is VERY, VERY STIFF. It takes a good week to break them in, and until you do, they're going to be uncomfortable - stick with it, because these are worth it. I've also read others' reviews in which they said the zipper broke on them. The zippers on my boots are a little weak, but they haven't broke thus far; then again, I'm being extra careful with the zippers to ensure that doesn't happen!
**Lastly, if you're a girl ordering these, the boots come in MEN'S sizes, not womens'!! To convert your size to men's size, take whatever size you are (e.g.: women's size 8) and subtract two (e.g.: women's size 8 now becomes men's size 6). I wear a women's 10 and these boots in size 8 fit me just fine! However, if you have extra wide/sensitive feet or long toes, get one size bigger. It'll give your feet more room to breathe.
Hope this is helpful to everyone - give these a chance if you have the funds! Totally worth it.

Looks awesome, awful zippers thoughJun 29, 2014
I took these bad boys out of the box, and man are they sharp looking. They fit perfectly for my feet, but they were a little loose around my legs. (Genetics can be annoying, big feet, chicken legs haha.)
The only problem that I had was that the first time I unzipped one of them to put it on, the zipper broke into 3 pieces. I was able to fix this myself with some glue. MAKE SURE TO USE SOME KIND OF LUBRICANT ON THE ZIPPERS. This helps a LOT, and after a few zips/unzips they work perfectly fine. (I'm glad too, because I ordered the last pair of size 13s haha)
Anyways, sexy pair of boots!

Now both zippers are broken, and are unable to be zipped at all. The boots look fantastic in my opinion, but the zippers are absolute trash. I took them to a local shoe repair guy, and he is going to replace the sliders to see if that's the problem. He specifically called out the shoddy craftsmanship immediately when it came to the chinese zippers. If you want these boots, be prepared to have issues with the zippers, as most people on here have had problems with them.

Badass boots!Dec 29, 2014
By Satori Adrian Ivy
These boots are by far the coolest thing I have ever owned, they are as badass as they look in pictures. It's taking a little time to break these beauties in but despite other reviewers experiences I never found them uncomfortable to begin with. One of the first things I did with these boots is take a 6 mile hike in rugged mountain terrain in the middle of a snowstorm. I've never had a pair of boots that kept my feet so dry and warm. Chances are wearing these in public you are going to get comments and stares. I already have, and really you should expect that much, these are made unapologetically to cater to goths. The design is very sturdy- seams are tight and the more decorative elements seem to be fastened securely. I read some reviews before purchasing that said the metal plates on the front can come undone. Considering how much I have brushed up against fixed objects they are so far holding fast. I had to pinch an additional hole in each strap to accomodate my spindly frame (size 12). So you may need to do a little adjusting of your own depending. Importantly these boots feel appropriately roomy around the toes thanks to the steel plate, you shouldn't have to worry about cramming your toes in given you carefully consider the size before you purchase. As an aside I plan to make some decorative mods to my boots to further trick them out- as much as I highly recommend you purchase these I personally do not want to have the same boots as anyone else, I see spikes in their future! ;). On a final note these boots are actually made by Demonia- not pleaser, pleaser is just the seller.

Great...Jun 25, 2008
By S. Zerr
Great boots, they are exactly as depicted in the picture. They also have a steel toe (for structural support only), and a zip-up side. So if you like what you see in the picture, then these boots are a great buy.
